Miele’s KMDA 7634 FL is an 80cm wide induction cooktop that includes an integrated downdraft extractor. By simply drawing air movement down into the cooktop itself, this appliance offers the ability to design open plan kitchens & position the cooktop without needing to factor in overhead cupboards or wall-hung rangehoods. The extracted air can either be ducted externally through vents to the outside of the home or it can be recirculated through high-quality carbon filters, removing smells, grease & grime before clean air is filtered back into the kitchen.

I really LOVE this cooktop. It has four cooking zones with the ability to bridge them to a larger zone. With the rangehood being located in the cooktop makes this the perfect cooktop for island bench installs as it eliminates the need for overhead ducting etc. It’s super-efficient because it’s extracting right at the pot and the unit itself can be ducted externally or recirculating back into the kitchen. Miele’s patented Con@activity touch controls mean the cooktop and rangehood both communicate based on power levels and the filters are easily removed and cleaned in your dishwasher.
